Andrew Cuomo kicks off 11-day campaign tour

Posted: Updated:

New York State Attorney General and Democratic gubernatorial candidate Andrew Cuomo started a statewide campaign tour in the Hudson Valley today.

Cuomo arrived at Rockland Community College in Suffern with his three daughters, the first stop on an 11-day tour he is calling his "Drive for a New N.Y."

He said he is committed to building grassroots support for his five-point pledge, which includes getting the unemployed back to work, cleaning up Albany and what he calls "rightsizing" wasteful government.

During his tour, Cuomo says he will visit all 62 counties in the state, encouraging New Yorkers to sign on to his five-point plan.

Cuomo is running against former U.S. Representative Rick Lazio (R-2nd District).
