Peer: Murder suspect known for his strange behavior

(07/12/10) TUXEDO PARK - Jesse Green, the man charged with murdering his father and assaulting his mother in Tuxedo Park, was very involved in Hudson Valley politics and was well-known for his strange behavior according to his peers.

According to Matt Richter, the former campaign manager for congressional candidate David McFadden, Green had some unusual behaviors but he is still surprised to hear that he is charged with the murders.

Richter said Green was the campaign manager for opposing candidate Kristia Cavere and boasted that he had raised nearly $400,000 for the campaign, but the money never materialized. Richter also said that Green once made a strange, late-night phone call to McFadden. In hind site, many are saying Green had a short temper.

According to police, Green's mother, Jacqueline, was released from the hospital this weekend.
