HV residents try to stay cool during summer scorcher

Posted: Updated:

Community centers in the Hudson Valley doubled as cooling centers yesterday as Hudson Valley residents tried to find any way they could to beat the sizzling summer heat.

Day campers at the Pascak Community Center took advantage of the mini-outdoor spray park during their half-day of summer camp.

Day camp director Mary Curran says that she knew as soon as she woke up yesterday morning that her campers would have to be in the water as much as possible. "I knew my bathing suit was going on first thing," Curran says.
