Opinions mixed on plans for new Tappan Zee

Preliminary plans for a new Tappan Zee Bridge are getting a mixed reaction from local residents.

Some people say they are concerned with the traffic that would be created by a massive building project, but others believe its time to replace the aging span.

The prospect of eminent domain laws being used to seize property also concerns some residents.

"Are they going to try to take over personal property for that? So if you're trying to usurp somebody's property ownership rights, that's always a major issue," says Gina Cooperman, of Nyack.
