Nyack Hospital nurses protest lack of contract

More than 100 nurses protested against not having a contract outside Nyack Hospital yesterday.
The 520 nurses, members of the New York State Nurses Association, have been working without a contract since Dec. 31.
The negotiations have been ongoing since September and, according to the nurses, the major sticking points of health care and retirement benefits have yet to be worked out.
The nurses say today?s protest and an earlier one in March were only informal, but the possibility of a strike remains.
