Hundreds of people said their final farewells this week to a Pearl River High School student who died after being critically injured in a car accident last week.

Boy Scouts lined the steps of Saint Margaret's Church in Pearl River as relatives carried out the coffin of 15-year-old Justin Rogers.

The community rallied around and prayed for the Rogers family after Justin's leg was severed in a car accident May 3. He passed away last Thursday.

The next day, Pearl River High School students dressed in red, Rogers' favorite color, which many also wore to the funeral.
