Pearl River H.S. freshman mourned after crash

Pearl River High School students and staff mourned yesterday the death of 15-year-old freshman Justin Rogers following a car crash.

Rogers died Thursday afternoon from injuries he suffered Monday in an accident that happened during heavy rainstorms.

Justin's older brother, Brandon, played a varsity tennis match yesterday in memory of his brother and a school spokesperson said that no games or practices were canceled or delayed yesterday. Justin played for the junior varsity tennis team.

Both the high school and middle school held moments of silence for Justin, a district spokesperson said.
