Violence at Spring Valley H.S. makes teen leave
A Spring Valley mother has pulled her daughter out of Spring Valley High School after she says the 14-year-old girl was attacked by another female student.
Erica Azor says a sophomore punched her in the face and ripped out some of her hair on her way to class Monday. Since the incident, Azor's mother, Carline, has been homeschooling the teen and her brother.
Carline Azor says she warned school officials less than an hour before the attack that her daughter had been threatened by the sophomore.
The 15-year-old girl who allegedly attacked Azor has been charged with assault. She is the second Spring Valley High School student to be arrested recently.
