More than a dozen people gathered on the steps of the Rockland County Courthouse in New City yesterday for an annual Tax-Day rally.
Organizers of the event say 44 percent of tax revenues go toward military spending, instead of domestic programs and education funding.
The rally was hosted by the Rockland Coalition for Peace and Justice. The group says foreign wars have cost Rockland taxpayers $2.2 billion so far.
