Some senior citizens in the Hudson Valley are concerned their benefits will be cut under the new health care reform law signed by President Barack Obama Tuesday.
"I have a feeling the seniors have been put aside," says Medicare recipient Nancy Scensny, of Valhalla.
Seniors like Scensny say they're worried because they're not sure what is exactly in the bill and how it will affect them.
Nyack pharmacist Gerry Koblin says seniors enrolled in the Medicare Advantage program will likely see cuts starting next year. On the upside, the prescription drug program will be improved and expanded.
By 2020, Medicare will pay 75 percent of the seniors' drug costs.
