Police probe ATM scam in Goshen

Police are investigating an ATM scam that was uncovered at the Goshen branch of Bank of America Tuesday.
Police say the crooks attached a scanning device to the ATM and a camera to the keypad to record account numbers and PINs in order to steal money and identities.
Authorities became aware of the scam after several bank customers reported that they noticed unauthorized ATM withdrawals from their accounts made at several locations, including Manhattan and Illinois. In total, more than 20 accounts were compromised and thousands of dollars stolen.
Police are encouraging all Bank of America customers to change their PIN numbers and scrutinize all transactions.
