Officials to provide more mumps vaccines

New York City health officials are following in the footsteps of Orange County and stepping up mumps vaccinations.
Officials say they plan to vaccinate 3,000 people for the mumps as the largest outbreak in years continues to spread. There have been hundreds of cases among Hasidic communities in Monsey, New Square and Kiryas Joel.
According to health officials, the shots aren't 100 percent effective and some of those who have become infected have already been vaccinated.
