Toyota looks into 2010 Prius brakesPosted: Updated:
Federal officials have launched an investigation Thursday into problems associated with the antilock brakes in Toyota's 2010 Prius model.
More than 100 Prius drivers in the country have reported that the brakes fail momentarily on slippery roadways.
A spokesperson for the Japanese automaker says the company has yet to decide whether or not to recall the vehicles.
"The car will go forward a little bit even if I do not brake a little bit," says Prius owner Betsy Feeney.
Toyota has already recalled eight models, including the popular Camry, because of involuntary acceleration issues linked to faulty gas pedals.
