HV drivers worried over expanded Toyota recall

Toyota has announced Thursday an additional recall of more than 1 million vehicles in the United States that could potentially have faulty accelerators, raising concerns amid drivers in the Hudson Valley.
The list of models affected by this latest recall includes:
- The 2008-2010 Highlander- The 2009-2010 Corolla - The 2009-2010 Venza- The 2009-2010 Matrix- The 2009-2010 Pontiac Vibe
Toyota's announcement comes following last week's recall of 2.3 million U.S. vehicles and Wednesday's decision by the automaker to suspend production and sales of eight models.
Steve Jardine, general manager of Johnston's Toyota in New Hampton, says so far he has removed 10 percent of the dealership's used cars and about 25 percent of the new car inventory off the lot, but he believes it will not hurt business in the long run.
