Search resumes for missing Newburgh boy
The search for a missing 4-year-old Newburgh boy resumed Friday after police say they learned new information.
Marc Anthony Bookal was last seen with his mother's boyfriend, Cory Byrd, at their Newburgh apartment on Dec. 14. before he went missing.
"We've developed some information that led us to believe we might want to check some of the areas we had checked earlier on," says City of Newburgh Police Lt. Charles Broe.
Police scoured fire escapes, rooftops and backyards Friday. The New York State Fire Department's search and rescue team was brought in to search an abandoned school, but without success.
Police say they will continue the search Saturday.
