Snowstorm snarls traffic in Hudson Valley
A New Year's Eve snowstorm created dangerous road conditions Thursday morning.
Visibility was as low as a quarter of a mile for the morning commute. Streets like Executive Boulevard in Yonkers were quickly covered with snow. Traffic moved slowly on Interstates 684 and 287 as the snow eased up, but roads became more wet than slippery.
As of noon, highway crews cleared away enough snow to allow traffic to move more smoothly.
