Lau pleads not guilty in teacher's murder

The man accused of killing a Suffern gym teacher was arraigned on second-degree murder charges Thursday.
Eric Lau pleaded not guilty to all five counts of the indictment, which includes murder and burglary charges, in the death of his neighbor Jami Erlich.
In the meantime, News 12 has obtained the recording of a 911 call made by Erlich's boyfriend the night she was killed.
Erlich?s boyfriend says on the tape he heard his girlfriend scream. Erlich was later found beaten and stabbed to death.
The judge set bail for Lau at $2.5 million in cash. Lau?s public defender reserved the right to have his client undergo a psychiatric evaluation.
