Hundreds of Rockland County taxpayers are livid after receiving delinquency notices on a county tax bill they were never reminded about in the first place.
"It appears that the notices that went out to certain taxpayers weren't received by them," says Chris Kopf, the Rockland County finance director. "We know they were mailed but they weren't received."
Kopf says the Rockland Legislature is expected to vote next Tuesday to give him the authority to have New York State return the money.
