The Valley Cottage woman who was attacked in a New Jersey hotel parking lot last month has been moved to a rehabilitation facility.
Laura Matousek, 46, suffered two collapsed lungs and massive blood loss from stab wounds Sept. 18 when she was attacked outside the Sheraton Crossroads in Mahwah, N.J.
Matousek's ex-husband, Allan Pelcak Jr., of Spring Valley, was questioned for 12 hours the day of the assault, but he was released without being charged.
A pancake breakfast will be held Saturday at the parish center of St. Paul's Church in Congers to raise money for Matousek and her two young children.
