Fire ravages historic Witchwood Manor

The historic Woodbury home of "Titanic" actor Victor Garber was destroyed by a fire Thursday afternoon.
Fire officials say the blaze started at around 1 p.m. outside 187 County Route 105, quickly consuming the three-story Witchwood Manor, which was once owned by burlesque entertainer Gypsy Rose Lee.
Firefighters from nine departments arrived on the scene of the blaze. They say the entire midsection of the historic house is likely destroyed.
Neighbors say Garber, best known for his role as Titanic architect Thomas Andrews, had recently completed renovations on the house. The actor wasn't home when the fire started.
The exact cause of the blaze is under investigation.
