News 12 hosts Rockland executive debate

News 12 hosted a live debate Monday night between the candidates for Rockland County executive.

Incumbent Republican Scott Vanderhoef and his Democratic challenger, Orangetown Supervisor Thom Kleiner, squared off and stated their case for leading the county.

"I think we've done a very good job at leading our county both nationally and statewide," Vanderhoef says.

Kleiner has countered that "after 16 years we need a new direction for Rockland County."
