Family and friends said a final goodbye Monday to 44-year-old John Allgor, a Nyack official who died suddenly last week.

Allgor, who served as the village's chief building and zoning inspector for nearly 15 years, was remembered as "the most honest, nicest, calm, sensitive building inspector you could ever want" by Mayor John Shields.

Results from Allgor's autopsy are still pending.
