Ramapo supervisor hopeful demands recount

Posted: Updated:

A challenger in the Ramapo town supervisor Republican primary refused to concede his defeat Tuesday night, calling for a recount of votes.

St. Lawrence, who was crossed-endorsed by both the Republican and Democratic parties, celebrated two victories Tuesday night.

Democratic candidate Bruce Levine lost his primary to St. Lawrence, but he is expected to face the incumbent in November on the Preserve Ramapo party line.
