Couple arrested in alleged welfare scam

A Rockland County couple has been arrested and accused of illegally collecting tens of thousands of dollars in welfare benefits.

Authorities say 52-year-old Nathan Misky and his wife, 49-year-old Mindy Misky, of Monsey, bilked the federal government and Rockland County of more than $75,000 over two years in welfare fraud.

The couple, who live at 73 West Maple Ave., faces up to 14 years in prison each. They were each released on $50,000 bail.
