New City businesses irked by road project

Owners of businesses along South Main Street in New City say road work being done in the area is hurting their bottom line.
"A few clients are finding it difficult to get to the office," says David Meyer, the manager of a pool supply store.
Meyers adds, however, that he's looking forward to less wear and tear on his car when the project is completed.
Clarkstown Highway Department Superintendent Wayne Ballard says repaving South Main Street, where 15,000 cars pass every day, will save taxpayers money in the future.
The entire South Main Street project should be completed by Monday.
