Web site to track sex offenders launched in Orange Co.

Posted: Updated:

Orange County introduced a new Web site Thursday to provide residents with information about registered sex offenders.

"I think it's gonna give [residents] more peace of mind - that they know who's living around them, living among them," says Orange County Sheriff Carl Dubois.

The newest law enforcement tool will allow parents to search for offenders in their area and get real-time maps detailing where they live.

"If ? we become aware of where they are, then we might be hesitant to go to those areas or be more watchful with our children," says Noreen Nannini, of Cornwall.
