3 hospitalized after Wallkill home robbery

Posted: Updated:

Police say three men were hospitalized Monday after three robbers invaded their Wallkill home and beat them when they didn't have enough cash.

Authorities say James Smith, his 84-year-old father and their friend, Mike Gavoille, were badly beaten by the three invaders. The robbers trashed the Stratton Avenue home and stole what cash they could find, police say. Smith sustained four broken bones in his face, as well as stitches in his head, while Gavoille suffered a split, swollen lip. Smith?s father remains hospitalized with head and rib injuries.

Police ask anyone with information about the incident to call 845-692-7863.
