A new cause for concern may put global warming fears aside as some meteorologists say we could instead face a period of global cooling.
According to astronomers, solar activity should now be increasing with a growing number of sunspots. However, there are currently no sunspots and very few solar flares.
Meteorologists say the sun is the dimmest it's been in nearly a century. They believe that after three decades of abnormally warm temperatures, the Earth may be taking a turn toward tremendous cooling.
