Woman arrested in high-heeled shoe assault

A woman was arrested Thursday for allegedly attacking another woman with a high-heeled shoe during a bar fight in West Haverstraw.
Shakonda Lindsey, of Morristown, N.J., was charged Friday with assault and criminal possession of a weapon.
Lt. Martin Lund, of the Haverstraw Police Department, says Lindsey, 36, was arguing with a 25-year-old Haverstraw woman inside the club on Route 9W before they went outside. That is when Lindsey allegedly struck the woman with a shoe.
The victim of the alleged assault was taken to Nyack Hospital and required stitches. It is unknown whether the two women knew each other before the altercation.
The Haverstraw woman was given an order of protection against Lindsey, who pleaded not guilty to the charges against her. She is currently being held on $10,000 bail at the Rockland County Jail. Her next court appearance in scheduled for June 24.
