Police arrested a man Wednesday for allegedly breaking into a Haverstraw home.

Authorities say 22-year-old Xavier Martinez, of Garnerville, broke a window to get into an apartment on New Main Street Wednesday morning. A woman was inside at the time, but police say she was not harmed and nothing was stolen from the home.

Martinez was charged with burglary and attempted robbery.
