Shrub Oak student may have swine flu
Health officials say a fifth-grader from Shrub Oak may be the latest Westchester resident to contract swine flu.
The school district says it was informed Friday that the Benjamin Franklin Elementary School student was tested for swine flu, but has not yet received confirmation from the Westchester County Health Department.
To try and ease parents' concerns, the school district has disinfected the school so it'll be ready to open Monday morning.
So far, there have been 14 confirmed cases of swine flu in Westchester, with most of the cases being reported as mild.
