Mourners say goodbye to rabbi's son
Friends and family bid a final goodbye Monday to the son of a Greenburgh rabbi who died on a college campus upstate.
Jonah Dreskin, a 19-year-old student at the University of Buffalo, died last week after police found him barely conscious on a campus road near a residence hall. Police say Dreskin, of Ardsley, may have been hit by a vehicle or fallen from a building sometime between 11:30 p.m. and midnight Wednesday.
Hundreds gathered Monday at the Woodlands Community Temple in Greenburgh - where Dreskin's father is the rabbi - to say goodbye. Some mourners, who were unable to park near the temple because of the crush of people, walked blocks to reach the service.
