Westchester, Hudson Valley brace for messy morning
A winter storm warning is in effect for Westchester and the Hudson Valley as the region braces for about a foot of snow.
Some cities, such as Newburgh, declared a snow emergency early on. In Yonkers, residents were out Sunday picking up winter necessities such as ice melt and shovels.
Besides snow supplies, many residents say they also stocked up on food so they don't have to venture out once the snow begins to fall.
