Pomona students to attend Obama inauguration

Posted: Updated:

Some Rockland students were given a chance of a lifetime and will be in Washington, D.C. Tuesday, witnessing the inauguration of President-elect Barack Obama.

The seventh- and eighth-grade students from Pomona Middle School are excited to attend the historic event and for some it is a personal journey.

All 42 students were chosen after each individual submitted an essay about what the event meant to them.
