Man convicted of '04 murder of Newburgh restaurateur
The jury in the murder trial of a man charged with the 2004 slaying of a Hudson Valley restaurateur returned a guilty verdict Thursday.
The defendant, Dennis Sweeney, was convicted on all 23 counts, including murder, attempted murder, assault, burglary and criminal possession of weapon in the shooting death of business man Cosimo DiBrizzi, of Newburgh.
Sweeney is expected to be back in Rockland County Court for sentencing Dec. 3.
