Homeowners complain of foul water smell in WarickPosted: Updated:
A group of homeowners in Warwick are furious about a strange smell that has been coming from their water for months.
Wendy Santiago, who lives at the Warwick Kings Estates, says the problem began six months ago after the development's well broke. According to Santiago, the private company that provides the water, Warwick Water Company, has told residents it is working to fix the issue.
?They can [say] whatever they want, but what is wrong with the water and why is it the well hasn't been fixed after all these months?? asks Santiago.
Neighbors at the Warwick Kings Estates also complain that the water recently started staining toilets and that they?ve become wary of bathing. Many residents say they have resorted to using bottled water and filters as a precaution until the problem is resolved.
The town of Warick has been fielding residents? complaints for weeks because the water company has been unreachable. News 12 Hudson Valley, during numerous attempts to call the Warwick Water Company, ultimately was able to reach a representative for an answering service who could not provide an address for the company.
