A 77-year-old man had to be air-lifted to the hospital Wednesday after a bus rear-ended a Volkswagen in Warwick.
The man was treated for head injuries at Westchester Medical Center. The female driver of the car he was in was also taken to the hospital and treated for minor injuries.
According to police, three children were on board the bus at the time of the crash. The children, who are six and seven years old, were also taken to the hospital as a precaution.
Authorities believe the bus driver was distracted by the children on board and didn't see the car in front of her as it made a right turn.
All involved in the crash are expected to recover. Police are investigating to determine whether the bus driver should be ticketed.
