Attempted murder suspect's co-workers busted

Three magazine sellers with connections to an attempted murder suspect were arrested Friday for soliciting without a permit in Airmont.
The trio was staying at the Holiday Inn in Montebello with Ohio resident Donnell Preston. Police say Preston tried to strangle another fellow associate to death earlier in the week.
Preston and his alleged victim have children together, according to authorities. Police warned the group they could not sell without licenses and arrested the three suspects after receiving complaints from Airmont residents.
Residents are being asked to contact authorities if any more solicitors knock on their doors trying to hawk magazines, as they could be operating beneath the law without a permit.
