Travelers fuming over new sky-high baggage fee

American Airlines' decision to charge passengers for their first checked bag has some Stewart Airport travelers concerned about more fees.
American Airlines announced this week it will start charging $15 for the first checked bag and $25 for the second starting June 15. Traditionally, the first bag has been free.
While American Airlines doesn't fly out of Stewart Airport, frustrated fliers believe the decision will trickle down to other airlines that do fly out of Stewart.
"The price of gas, the price of milk, the price of everything is going up," says traveler Allison Lavallee. "So, yeah, I'm totally frustrated."
Others say they'll simply be flying less.
Aviation experts believe the charge will cause longer security lines as passengers will try to fit more into their carry-on luggage.
