Bullets fly into 2 Hudson Valley homes

Posted: Updated:

Police are searching for the shooter who sprayed two homes with bullets Sunday night, missing children and adults.

According to authorities, someone shot four rounds into a Wallkill home, shooting out windows. No one was injured in the incident.

Officials say 15 minutes later, five bullets were fired into a Mount Hope home along Route 211. According to Wallkill Police Chief Robert Hertman, children and adults inside the home were not hit.

"Just the fact that the shots were fired makes this a very serious offense." Hertman said. The shooter will likely face felony reckless endangerment charges.

Police are investigating whether the incidents are related. In the meantime, officers are increasing patrols.
