Ex-Goshen firefighter pleads guilty to arson
A former volunteer firefighter from Goshen pleaded guilty Tuesday to intentionally setting fire to four homes in the village.
Michael Kohn, 18, admitted in Orange County Court that he intentionally set a fire that completely destroyed a home on Webster Avenue in May. Kohn?s guilty plea includes three other fires. One of fires destroyed an SUV and another damaged a home that was occupied.
The Orange County district attorney is asking the judge to sentence Kohn to five to 15 years in prison and pay $1.2 million in damages to the four homeowners.
