Spring Valley cop accused of sexual assault out on bail
A Spring Valley police officer accused of sexually assaulting women while on the job was released on bail Monday.
Officer David Lebron, 38, posted $10,000 bail and surrendered his passport. He is accused of fondling a woman and then falsifying records to cover his tracks.
"He would respond to domestic-type incidents," said Police Chief Paul Modica. "These were primarily Central American women ? He was taking advantage of these women."
The married father of two daughters pleaded not guilty to charges Friday. The Bronx resident is due back in court Nov. 27. Lebron is currently suspended from the police department.
