An accident involving an SUV and a tractor-trailer in Montgomery sent one person to the hospital Tuesday.

According to police, 18-year-old Kylie McDonnell from Walden was driving an SUV and made a hasty left turn at the intersection of Route 208 and 17K. Police say the SUV was then hit by an oncoming tractor-trailer. McDonnell was airlifted to the hospital after the crash. Police say she probably thought she could beat the truck.Coincidentally, construction going on at the intersection is to install left-hand turn lanes. Residents hope the new lanes will cut down on accidents they say are happening too often there.
