Lower gas prices prompt drivers to take to the roads

With gas prices dropping in Westchester and Hudson Valley, more people took to the roads this Labor Day weekend.
Gas prices in the region have dropped 21 cents a gallon in the past month. John Gaccione of the Westchester Department of Consumer Protection says that after a long summer of high prices, gas is finally below $3 a gallon.
For residents it means a cheaper getaway for the family over the extended weekend. Gaccione says the fluctuating prices are determined by global demand. He says people tend to travel less this time of year. Many travelers say they are taking full advantage of the dip at the pump.Related Information News 12 Hudson Valley Gas Gauge
