'Unusual suspects' rob two WC drinking holes
Police in Yonkers are looking for two older men that robbed two Westchester bars.
Authorities are looking for a man in his 40s and another in his 60s who have been hitting the bars early in the morning and making off with thousands of dollars.
Police say the 40-year-old has been distracting the bartenders by asking how to use the jukebox. The accomplice then has a chance to make a quick snatch. In both cases, witness say the man in his 60s has jumped over the bar to grab the money. The second bartender to fall victim to the pair claims the older man hit him with his cane and knocked him to the floor before grabbing the loot.
?Pretty surprising that a 65 plus year old man jumping over a bar,? one resident said. ?I'd like to know what he does to work out.?
The two men have made off with over $5,000 from the two robberies.
