Obscure sports underway at Empire State Games

Baseball, basketball and hockey usually take center stage, but some lesser-known sports grabbed the spotlight at the Empire State Games Friday.Some of the more obscure sports including fencing, rowing and skeet shooting got underway. At Manhattanville College in Purchase, the Hudson Valley men?s and women?s fencing teams both won gold medals. Hudson Valley also took home two gold medals for rowing.
