Bread truck collides head-on with SUV in Tuxedo

A mother and her 7-year-old son are hospitalized in serious condition after a bread truck smashed head-on into their car in Tuxedo Tuesday.

Police say the driver of the bread truck got distracted and crossed over to oncoming traffic on Route 17. According to police, his truck then slammed head-on into an SUV, driven by 37-year-old Judith Hunsgreder. Hunsgreder?s son was strapped in the back seat of the vehicle.Hunsgreder, of Monroe, and her son were taken to Good Samaritan Hospital for internal injuries. The truck driver, 54-year-old Vicente Ontaneda, was also taken to the hospital with minor injuries.
