Wild police chase ends with jump off the Tappan Zee
A man driving a reportedly stolen tractor-trailer cab led police on a wild chase that ended with the suspect jumping off the Tappan Zee Bridge.
According to police, 39-year-old John Fuller, of Far Rockaway, stole the truck cab in Pennsylvania. Police say Fuller refused to stop for a vehicle inspection in New Jersey around 9:45 p.m. Tuesday and the chase began.
Police chased Fuller from Jersey into the Bronx and through Westchester. Fuller then stopped on the Tappan Zee Bridge and stunned his pursuers by jumping off. Authorities rescued the unarmed man, who had begun to pass out from his injuries. Fuller was taken to Westchester Medical Center where he is listed in critical condition.
