All three men on the Piper PA-30 that crashed after taking off from Westchester County Airport have been identified.The plane went down in Talbot County, Maryland during severe thunderstorms. Investigators say Richard Lomas of Stamford, Connecticut, Gregory Doppke of Greenwich, Connecticut, and Andrew Young of Mahopac, were killed instantly. The three friends were on their way to a golf outing in North Carolina. The pilot, Doppke, and his business partner, Lomas, owned Hawthorne-based ABM Air Conditioning and Heating. The third victim, Young, was a noted chef from Mahopac. Doppke is described as an experienced pilot. Federal Aviation Administration officials say he did not indicate any problems prior to the crash. Investigators with the National Transportation Safety Board are combing through the wreckage looking for clues to determine the cause of the crash.
