Hudson Valley recovers from storm that created havoc on roadsPosted: Updated:
The winter storm that rolled through Westchester and Hudson Valley dumped almost a foot of snow in some parts and created havoc on the roads and at local airports.
Mount Kisco recovered Saturday after a state of emergency was declared Friday night. There was also a state of emergency declared in New Castle and Yorktown due to icy conditions on the roads. All towns have since lifted the state of emergency.
The Westchester County Airport was forced to close and cancel many flights. Although the airport reopened later in the day, many passengers were left stranded.
